Cape Verde Nightlife
Cape Verde is generally a place for rest and relaxation, however nightlife in Mindelo on Sao Vicente is considered to be the best in the archipelago. You will find some of the hotels offer eveining entertainment such as African folklore shows which include dancers and acrobats. Please check with the hotel receptions for details.
There are a selection of discos and bars in Mindelo often with live music. Bars restaurants and nightclubs are very popular in Mindelo. Clubs tend to open around 10.30pm and finish at about 5am. Most have a small entrance fee of around CVE500. Entry to most bars and discos are open to non-residents. However, the security guards at the entrances have the authority to refuse entry to anyone they feel is undesirable.
